September Integration Update

At present, residents in the five boroughs have access to multiple skills and employment programmes, the range and volume of which have increased since the start of the pandemic, in part due to the governments ‘Plan for Jobs’ initiative. However, residents and practitioners can find it difficult to navigate the range of support available which means that they don’t always get access to the right support at the right time. This has the biggest impact on our most vulnerable residents who sometimes need extra help to find employment.

The ’No Wrong Door’ approach has been developed to address the information and communication failures and the structural and service deficiencies in the skills and employment system. The Greater London Authority have secured funding to deliver four Integration Hubs across London to drive integration, boost partnership working, create high-quality referral pathways, strengthen practitioner know-how and embed resident and service user voice into strategic planning and service delivery.

Social Care Workforce Academy Hub

Collaborations with and between sector relevant partner providers are well underway in support of the exciting piece of work being led by Priya Samuel, the Social Care Workforce Development Lead for South West London with the South London Partnership. Our DWP partners are facilitating access to and conversations with local social care employers to support Priya’s work.
