Spotlight: Karen Brown from ICN+

“Hello, my name is Karen Brown, and I am a Project Manager in the One Croydon Alliance Project Management Office (PMO)

“I work on a programme called Integrated Community Networks Plus (ICN+). Please see more information about what this involves on the slide pictured above.

“I wanted to use this opportunity to promote our Community Hubs. These hubs are due to be set up in each of Croydon’s six localities, which will provide pathways for people into social support networks, community-led activities, and specialist voluntary and statutory services.

“They will be in existing Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) venues that are known and accessible to local residents. They will take place on a weekly basis on a set day and time and will be widely publicised in the local community by VCS organisations, active citizens and Council and Health partners. Residents will be encouraged to ‘drop-in’ to Community Hubs as part of the early intervention, preventative approach being used across the localities.”

Currently operational hubs are:

New Addington: Wednesdays, 10:30-13:30 @ New Addington Pathfinders (120 Central Parade, New Addington, CR0 0JW)

Brigstock Road: Mondays 10:00-13:00 @ Scratchley Hall, 81 Brigstock Road, Thornton Heath, CR7 7JH
